IPL 2026 Match No. 22 was played between CSK and KKR at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. In this match, CSK registered a strong victory by 32 runs. With this win, CSK made a solid comeback in the tournament.

Earlier, CSK had lost their first three matches, but after that, they bounced back strongly. They first defeated DC by 23 runs and then went on to beat KKR by 32 runs in today’s match.

This comeback is very important for the team’s confidence, as consecutive wins help boost morale and give players a strong sense of belief moving forward in the season.

KKR won the toss and chose to bowl first, putting CSK into bat. CSK set a target of 193 runs for KKR. However, KKR’s batting performance was not impressive, and they failed to chase the target. As a result, this became their fifth defeat of the season.

KKR is a team in IPL 2026 that has not won a single match so far. They have played a total of five matches.

Their first match was against MI, where MI defeated them by 6 wickets.
In the second match, SRH beat them by 65 runs.
The third match had no result due to rain.
In the fourth match, LSG defeated KKR by 3 wickets.
And in today’s match, CSK also defeated them by 32 runs.

As a result, KKR has faced five matches in total but has not registered a single win in this season so far.

CSK Batting:

In this match, CSK got a strong start.

Sanju Samson played a quick innings of 48 runs off 32 balls, including 4 fours and 4 sixes. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad could only score 7 runs.

After that, Ayush Mhatre contributed 38 runs from 17 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Dewald Brevis added 41 runs off 29 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Sarfaraz Khan scored 23 runs from 18 balls, including 1 four and 2 sixes.

In the end, Shivam Dube (13*) and Jamie Overton (7*) remained not out and helped finish the innings.

KKR Batting:

In KKR’s batting, no player played a strong match-winning innings.

Ramandeep Singh scored the highest with 35 runs off 23 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six. After him, Rovman Powell made 31 runs from 22 balls, hitting 1 four and 2 sixes.

Skipper Ajinkya Rahane contributed 28 runs off 22 balls with no fours and 2 sixes. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 27 runs from 19 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six. Sunil Narine also added 24 runs for the team.

Apart from them, other batters could not perform well — Finn Allen scored 1 run, Rinku Singh made 6 runs, and Anukul Roy remained not out on 1 run.

Overall, KKR’s batting lacked a strong finishing performance, which cost them the match.
