Delhi-NCR faces a double blow as CNG prices rise again.

CNG prices have once again been increased in Delhi-NCR. The price of CNG in Delhi-NCR has now reached ₹80.09 per kg, while in Noida and Ghaziabad it has gone up to ₹88.70 per kg.

CNG prices have been increased twice within two days.

Earlier, on May 15, CNG prices were increased across the country, and now Delhi-NCR has faced a double blow.

On this issue, the country’s major opposition party, the Congress, criticized the government.

The Delhi Congress held protests across the entire Delhi-NCR region.

The biggest impact of the increased CNG prices will be on auto-rickshaw drivers, as most auto-rickshaws in Delhi run on CNG. This clearly means that ordinary people will also be directly affected by the hike in CNG prices.

These increased CNG prices will put an additional burden of travel fares on people.

This will increase transportation costs, which could lead to a rise in the prices of vegetables, fruits, and other daily essential items.

The Congress has criticised the government over the rise in CNG prices.

The Congress said, “Modi’s whip of inflation has struck again, as CNG prices have been increased once more." ₹2 was hiked on May 15 and another ₹1 on May 17.”

They wrote, “The Modi government has now made CNG costlier by ₹3. As soon as the elections ended, the Modi government’s recovery drive began.”

The Congress launched a strong attack on the government over the increased prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, while the Delhi Congress held massive protests across Delhi over the issue.

The Congress accused the government of increasing the prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG after the elections in five states ended, saying that ordinary people will now have to bear the extra burden of inflation.

This is the first increase in petrol and CNG prices in the last four years.
