A I has been fast revolutionising learning in students and Google now launches new generation education tools based on AI technology that aims at offering students a personalised and more interactive learning experience for their examination preparation. These new updates have been rolled out on Google Search and Gemini, which will help students prepare for JEE and NEET, among other foreign examinations.

It can be regarded as a paradigm shift for millions of Indian students who are preparing for very competitive entrance examinations using conventional ways of learning via books, coaching centres, and standardised test papers.

AI now creates a personalized study experience

A significant addition in the recent announcement by Google includes the creation of customised practice questions. Rather than solving the same set of questions that others are solving, students will be able to request the AI tools of Google to create questions on any specific subject or topic.

For example, students facing difficulties in electrostatics could ask AI to create practice questions on the subject. Similar to this, students appearing for NEET exams will be able to request questions from any specific biology chapter.

It must be noted here that Google's tools would not only display answers but would also offer explanatory details and an interactive experience.

Special Focus on JEE and NEET Aspirants

Students from India would definitely take note of the fact that JEE and NEET preparation has been taken into consideration while making these features for Google's AI learning tools.

Practice capabilities have been introduced for JEE and NEET exams along with several other popular examinations like GRE, SAT, MCAT, LSAT and AP Exams. Sources have revealed that practice questions from JEE and NEET can include materials from Physics Wallah and Careers360.

More Roles of Gemini as a Chatbot Beyond its Basic Capabilities

Google has expanded Gemini to help in education too by releasing certain tools that will be able to create personalized study aids in the form of study plan creation, quizzes, and notebooks.

Students will be able to structure their study materials and organize their coursework using them. Additionally, Gemini has the capability to help with explanation and visualization of tough topics.

There is a unique feature of using images along with Google lens in helping students solve problems step-by-step rather than using AI to get the solution directly.

Free AI Offer for Eligible Indian College Students

There is another very interesting thing about Gemini which is that there has been a new offer from Google for some Indian college students to have Google AI Plus free for one year.

It is being reported that they will have access to the capabilities of Gemini with increased limit and storage of up to 400 GB, reported sources.

For Indian college students, it may mean access to AI learning technologies that they cannot afford due to high subscription prices.

Will AI Replace Coaching Classes?

Even with all of its unique capabilities, AI won't take over teaching and coaching classes anytime soon.

Competitive exams such as the JEE and NEET need self-discipline, regular practice, knowledge of the concept, and adequate preparation. AI will be able to provide a number of questions to test students and even explain certain concepts where necessary, but the learners will have to verify the data provided and learn how to solve problems on their own.

It can happen that the learners start relying too much on artificial intelligence because some of them may ask for solutions while neglecting their own efforts in problem solving. In this case, the use of an AI coach can turn out to be counterproductive.

Summary

Thus, the new educational product by Google demonstrates how rapidly artificial intelligence enters people's lives. Students get the opportunity of receiving personalized tests, detailed explanations of concepts, study notebooks, and assistance with passing JEE and NEET exams.

As you see, there is no way artificial intelligence can avoid entering education. The main question that remains to be answered is how effective this technology will be in the hands of the students.
