On Friday, Amit Shah is on a visit to West Bengal. During this visit, he released the BJP’s manifesto, which includes several key points that are drawing attention, such as development, employment, women’s empowerment, and national security.
Amit Shah said in his press release that a son of the soil will become the chief minister of West Bengal.
The BJP has designed this manifesto keeping everyone in mind. Amit Shah said that they have a complete plan in this manifesto to bring the people of West Bengal out of the disappointment with the current system. The BJP has given special focus to certain sectors, such as specific schemes for youth and women.
Amit Shah said that this manifesto will greatly help farmers in the agriculture sector and that they will work for youth and women. He also stated that they will work to preserve the cultural heritage of Bengal.
In Bengal, Amit Shah said that Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees will be ensured. He added that if their government is formed in West Bengal, the Seventh Pay Commission will be implemented within 45 days. He also stated that along with the Ayushman scheme, all central government schemes will be introduced. Additionally, under the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme, financial assistance of ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 will be transferred to all women.
Amit Shah also mentioned another point, stating that within six months of forming the government, they will implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state.
If we look at the BJP’s manifesto, it clearly places strong emphasis on women. The party has promised 33% reservation for women in all state government jobs. It also plans to establish a women’s help desk in every police station so that women across the state feel safe and supported at all times. Additionally, there is a plan to create 7.5 million ‘Lakhpati Didis,' and Amit Shah has also announced free travel for women in state government buses.
A special package of ₹21,000 will be provided for pregnant women so they can take proper care of their child. The BJP also plans to provide six nutrition kits. Finally, the party is placing strong emphasis on farmers in West Bengal to support their development—for example, increasing the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi benefit to ₹9,000 per year, compared to ₹6,000 in other states. It will be interesting to see how the public responds to these plans—whether they support the BJP or the TMC.
