India have won their second consecutive match in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan and now lead the series 2-0. The match was played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
In the same match, Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Batting first, India posted a massive total of 402 runs, with two players scoring centuries. Captain Shubman Gill scored 154 runs off 110 balls, while Ishan Kishan smashed 125 runs off 79 balls.
India's huge total proved too much for Afghanistan to chase. The Afghan side failed to put up a competitive score and were bowled out for 232 runs. As a result, India won the match by 170 runs.

One match remains in the ODI series, which will be played on June 20 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Chennai.
Prince Yadav made his debut for India in this match and picked up two wickets.
For India, Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar starred with the ball, claiming three wickets each.
Washington Sundar also chipped in with one wicket.
For Afghanistan, Nangeyalia Kharote was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Rashid Khan claimed three wickets and Mohammad Saleem picked up one wicket.

After losing the toss, Afghanistan opted to bowl first. India's start was not ideal as Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for just 4 runs, while Rohit Sharma scored 48 runs off 39 balls.
After India lost two wickets, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan took charge and tore apart the Afghanistan bowling attack, stitching together a historic 224-run partnership.
Captain Shubman Gill completed his century in just 77 balls. He went on to score 154 runs off 110 balls, including 22 fours and 2 sixes.

Shubman Gill was well supported by Ishan Kishan, who smashed 129 runs off 79 balls, including 14 fours and 7 sixes.
However, it was not Shreyas Iyer's day as he was dismissed for just 26 runs off 24 balls, while KL Rahul was out for a duck. Washington Sundar added 19 runs for the team, Gurnoor Brar scored 3 runs, and Arshdeep Singh also chipped in with 3 runs. Kuldeep Yadav remained unbeaten on 3 runs, while Prince Yadav contributed 5 runs.
After Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan were dismissed, India suffered a collapse as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

India had posted a massive total of 402 runs, which Afghanistan failed to chase. The entire Afghan team was bowled out for just 232 runs in 44.3 overs.
Afghanistan's opening batsmen, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, failed to play big innings. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 41 runs off 33 balls, while Ibrahim Zadran was dismissed for 21 runs off 31 balls.
After that, Sediqullah Atal scored 42 runs, while Rahmat Shah was Afghanistan's top scorer with 79 runs off 89 balls, including eight fours. However, once both batters were dismissed, no other player could help Afghanistan make a comeback in the match.
The rest of Afghanistan's batters failed to make a significant contribution. Darwish Rasooli scored 6 runs, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi managed 4 runs, Nangeyalia Kharote made 6 runs, Rashid Khan scored 12 runs, AM Ghazanfar added 1 run, and Mohammad Saleem contributed 9 runs. Bilal Sami remained unbeaten on 2 runs.
