The IRGC thanked the shipowner for their cooperation in helping vessels pass through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with Iran’s regulations.
The statement further said, “With the end of the aggressors’ threats and under new procedures, safe and sustainable passage through this maritime route will be ensured.”
After Iran’s statement, U.S. President Donald Trump made the announcement just a few hours later, in which he said that “Project Freedom” would be paused.
Project Freedom” is a U.S. operation aimed at helping ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz safely pass through and exit the region.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that on this issue, “at the very least, a genuine attempt to engage in talks to resolve the dispute” is needed, but that is not happening right now.
He further said, “It also requires good faith, which means holding talks, not arguments.”
He also said that orders, deception, blackmail, or coercion should have no place in the discussions.
Before the statement by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, U.S. President Donald Trump had made a post on social media.
On the Truth Social platform, he said that the war and blockade against Iran could end with this agreement, but if Iran does not agree to the deal, the U.S. will intensify its bombing campaign even further.

He shared more information about this in a post on social media.
On his Truth Social platform, he said that both the war and blockade against Iran could end if Iran accepts the agreement. However, if Iran does not agree to the deal, the U.S. will once again intensify its bombing campaign against Iran.
While warning of further strikes, he also said, “Sadly, the U.S. will carry out bombing on a much larger scale and with far greater intensity than before.”
He further said that if Iran agrees to what has already been settled, which he described as “a great imagination," then “Operation Epic Fury” would come to a complete end.
Along with this, President Donald Trump also said that if Iran does not agree to the deal, the U.S. will restart heavy bombing against Iran once again.
A report has revealed that the White House believes it is very close to reaching a Memorandum of Understanding agreement with Iran between both sides.
