ndian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been dropped from India's T20 squads for the Ireland and England series. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been included in the squad as his replacement.
In a statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said that Mohammed Siraj has not suffered any injury. Considering his workload and the amount of cricket he has played over the past few international seasons, he has been given time to rest and reset.
The decision was taken after discussions between the Board of Control for Cricket in India's medical team and team management. As a precautionary measure, Mohammed Siraj has been advised to take rest. Following IPL 2026, he has been part of India's Test series against Afghanistan and has played one match so far.
Right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been included in the squad as a replacement for Mohammed Siraj.

Prasidh Krishna made his T20 International debut in 2023 against Ireland. So far, he has played five T20Is and taken eight wickets. His current bowling economy rate stands at 11.00, while his bowling average is 27.50.
Prasidh Krishna's best bowling performance in T20 International cricket came against Australia national cricket team on November 26, 2023, in Guwahati. In that match, he claimed three wickets while conceding 41 runs, which remains his best T20I bowling figures.
