Mohammed Siraj Dropped from India's T20 Squads for the Ireland and England Series.

A major update has emerged from India's T20 squads for the Ireland and England series, with Mohammed Siraj being dropped from the team.

I ndian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been dropped from India's T20 squads for the Ireland and England series. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been included in the squad as his replacement.

In a statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said that Mohammed Siraj has not suffered any injury. Considering his workload and the amount of cricket he has played over the past few international seasons, he has been given time to rest and reset.

The decision was taken after discussions between the Board of Control for Cricket in India's medical team and team management. As a precautionary measure, Mohammed Siraj has been advised to take rest. Following IPL 2026, he has been part of India's Test series against Afghanistan and has played one match so far.

Right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been included in the squad as a replacement for Mohammed Siraj.

After these updates, India's squad for the series is expected to be as follows.

Captain: Shreyas Iyer

Vice-Captain: Tilak Varma

Batters: Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Wicketkeepers: Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar

Spinners: Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy

Fast Bowlers: Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav.

India's tour will begin with two T20 matches against Ireland on June 26 and June 28. After that, India will take on England in a five-match T20 series scheduled to be played between July 1 and July 11.

Mohammed Siraj made his international T20 debut in 2017 against the New Zealand national cricket team. So far, he has played 17 T20 Internationals and taken 17 wickets. His current bowling economy rate is 7.76, while his bowling average stands at 28.29.

The best T20I bowling performance of Mohammed Siraj came in 2022, when he recorded figures of 4/17 against the New Zealand national cricket team. It remains the finest bowling spell of his T20 international career.

Prasidh Krishna made his T20 International debut in 2023 against Ireland. So far, he has played five T20Is and taken eight wickets. His current bowling economy rate stands at 11.00, while his bowling average is 27.50.
