In a post, Pakistan's Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, stated that Iran has not yet confirmed whether or not it will arrive for the negotiations.
The minister added that an official statement from Iran regarding the talks scheduled to be held in Islamabad is still awaited. He further remarked that Pakistan remains in constant contact with Iran and that diplomatic efforts and dialogue will continue to move forward.
The minister stated that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States is set to expire on Wednesday at 4:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time (approximately 7:50 AM ET today). U.S. President Donald Trump had stated yesterday that the ceasefire would end on Wednesday evening, Washington time.
The minister also emphasized that it is crucial for both nations to engage in dialogue before the ceasefire expires.

He further noted that Pakistan is in contact with the Iranian leadership, urging them to participate in the second round of talks; concurrently, Pakistan is making sincere efforts to facilitate dialogue between the two nations.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs suggested that both countries should consider extending the ceasefire, thereby providing another opportunity for diplomatic negotiations.
Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, stated just yesterday that Iran has not yet held any internal discussions regarding whether or not it will participate in the talks. Nevertheless, some reports suggest that an Iranian delegation may still travel to Pakistan.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, accompanied by top U.S. officials, may travel to Pakistan to participate in this latest round of negotiations. However, they are currently at the White House, and no report has yet emerged regarding when they will travel.
